Goals Providing students with the knowledge of basic economics and tourism economics, to gain the ability to interpret and evaluate the economic effects of tourism on macro and micro level.
Course Content Tourist demand and income (tourist definition, tourist demand, prices and income); characteristics of tourist demand (dynamism, heterogeneity, temporal and spatial concentration); tourist supply; tourist product, tourist resources, transport (air transport and organization, air companies and transport); accommodation, world hotel management: hotel chains -voluntary and integrated chains- recent developments in world tourism; In Turkey tourism (the place of tourism in the Turkish economy, development-tourism relations, touristic supply and demand, touristic investments).
