Goals To examine important works belonging to the Hellenistic Period. To understand the characteristics of the style. Getting to know portraits and important portraits.
Course Content Introducing the works of the 4th century BC. An understanding of the portrait features of Alexander the Great and the Diadokhs. To introduce portraits of people belonging to various professions groups. Teaching sculpture schools' works and style differences
Learning Outcomes - To recognize the sculpyors and thier products in the 4th century BC
- To define stylistic features of the transition from Classical period to the Hellenistis Period in the Greek art.
- To understand the new styles and their characteristics in the Hellenistic Period
- To understand stylistic features of the sculptors and to define their works of Hellenistic period
