Goals It is aimed to teach the excavation, documentation, examination and preparation stages of the tombs excavated in archaeological excavations without any period difference.
Course Content The systematic documentation of the human remains excavated in archaeological excavations and the analysis in the laboratory environment are presented to the students with theoretical and practical lessons. In addition, different dead burial practices are evaluated by following the archaeological chronology in a form that will provide the concepts of archeology, burial traditions and social relations.
Learning Outcomes - To have knowledge of the place and methods of burial customs without considering Old Society.
- To learn how to gather data about ancient societies with Archeo-Anthropology approach
- To gain knowledge and experience about grave digging and documentation techniques
- Having the equipment to perform biological analyzes in human skeletons
- About dead burial practices; To acquire the equipment to prepare the final report in the studies including the laboratory process starting from the field.
