Goals To understand and define the development and painters of ancient Greek pottery and to define the pottery forms.
Course Content After the examples of the Geometric and Orientalist periods in different centres, the development of the Black Figure technique will be examined through painters until the late period.
Learning Outcomes - Students will be able to have an idea about social, economic and cultural changesof the Aegean World in the transition to the archaic period
- Learn Black Figure vase painting and its main painters
- Students will be able to distinguish the main production centres of Western Anatolian Archaic Pottery.
- Students will be able to learn terminology and chronology of the Archaic Pottery
