Goals To give introductory information about sculpture art of the Archaic period where civilization started to develop and architectural understanding and architectural works.
Course Content Beginning with the appearance of the first sculptures, to recognize the sculptures produced up to the Classical Period. To examine the first examples of sculpture art.
Learning Outcomes - To be able to understand the effects in the emergence of large-scale statues in the Greek world.
- To be able to explain to reasons for the production and usage of sculptures in the Archaic period.
- To be able to understand the development of statues in Archaic Period.
- To be able to recognize and discuss the regional styles in the Archaic sculpture.
- To be able to examine the development of archaic grave stones.
- To be able to recognize an archaic work and date it.
