Goals The aim of this course is to explain the social, political, cultural and artistic evolution of the cultures in Early Iron Age Greece and Anatolia with the help of archaeological data.
Course Content The course covers the period between 1050-700 BC. The cultures in the Aegean are the focal point. The works of architecture and sculpture, especially ceramics, are the other topics covered in the course.
Learning Outcomes - In this course the student will master the architecture of the early iron age.
- Master the terminology of early Iron Age ceramics.
- Have knowledge about the political structure of the early iron age.
- Gains knowledge of Early Iron Age Temple Architecture.
- Gains knowledge of figurine production technology and figurine types of the Early Iron Age.
