Goals To give the students the terminology that they will encounter in the compulsory and elective Classical Archeology courses starting from the first semester.
Course Content This course includes terminology specific to architecture, ceramics and sculpture in the field of Classical archaeology.
Learning Outcomes - In this course, students will master Classical Greek temple types and temple architecture.
- Have knowledge about temple layouts and construction technology.
- Gains knowledge of the formation process of polis and city states.
- Have knowledge about the architectural structures in the Greek cities.
- Gains knowledge of ancient Greek ceramic terminology and ceramic forms.
- Gains general knowledge about the art of ancient Greek sculpture.
