Goals The aim of this course is to introduce students to the detailed theories of international discipline and to introduce students to the different narrative, analytical and critical approaches of the discipline. Through class discussions and assignments, students are guided to produce their own approaches as well as to learn about existing theories.
Course Content This course includes a detailed examination of the theories of International Relations. The recent challenges and challenges in this area will focus mainly on the post-modern and post-structural epistemological alternatives to positivism and structuralism, with fundamental changes taking place from the middle of the 20th century.
Learning Outcomes - To be able to understand and comprehend the basic concepts and theoretical knowledge in the field of International Relations.
- Sought for qualified personnel needed by public and private sector; have knowledge of international relations, political history, law, international law, economics, public administration, business administration, accounting and use them
- To be able to analyze and evaluate theoretical knowledge in the field of international relations and produce solution suggestions.
- Taking responsibility in the field of international relations, planning them and conducting them independently.
- To be able to produce and share alternative solutions in the field of international relations through lifelong learning and inquiry awareness.
- To be able to evaluate the information obtained during the learning process with cause-effect relationships; to be able to predict where, when and why.
- To be able to transform and share information and practices related to the field of international relations into activities as a teamwork.
- Turkish written and verbal communication competence; be able to use at least one foreign language to communicate in the field
- Being conscious of social, scientific and professional ethical values, being open to change and innovation.
- To be able to use his / her views about current developments in the field of International Relations and to use them to interpret events.
