Goals To relate gender, race, religious and ethnic micro identity policies, implicit propaganda form, political history representations, production distribution and purchasing processes.
Course Content Cinema has always been intertwined with politics, with its direct political themes, and narrative techniques and movie examples that reflect a political stance. In this context, the course is organized to examine the direct or indirect relations of cinema with politics in a historical perspective. Subjects such as political economy will be within the scope of the course.
Learning Outcomes - Establishes the relationship between politics and art and cinema.
- Understands and differentiates political themes among film genres.
- Associates social history with cinema history.
- Recognizes the representation of micro policies in cinema.
