Goals The aim of the course is to provide students with the ability to master the literature of their field and analyze in a historical perspective while evaluating today's cinema.
Course Content Since the birth of cinema, it not only opened a new era in traditional arts, but was also born into an era where the political, economic and technological changes of the world accelerated. This course is designed to present the critical changes and periods in film aesthetics in the light of socio-political, cultural and technological transformations of the 19th and 20th centuries. The course will include milestones in cinema history, important directors, groundbreaking movements, industrial and national differences.
Learning Outcomes - Compares the present conditions with the birth of cinema.
- Recognizes aesthetic continuity and references between films.
- Comprehend the currents and periods in cinema in their social conditions.
- Analyzes the films in their historical traditions.
