Goals | The aim of this course is to teach students theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to actuarial science. |
Course Content | In this course, in the field of non-life actuarial in insurance businesses; financial analysis of the financial structure of the insurance company, tariff design and pricing, provision calculations, asset liability analysis, deprivation of support compensation calculations, actuarial scenario analysis studies and measurement of the effects on the balance sheet, corporate risk management process, identification of key risks (reserve risk), severance indemnity provision calculations, actuarial control cycle processes that include seemingly different but related steps such as company valuation, In the field of life actuarial; preparation of profitability analysis and product representations on product basis, creation of commutation tables, general information about life insurance types and products in the world, knowledge of reinsurance, knowledge of balance sheet reading and financial analysis, embedded value, return on investments, detailed information about annuities, as well as calculation methodology related to foundations and trusts will be covered. |

- At the end of this course, students should be able to explain the concepts, theories and approaches within the scope of actuarial science, analyze various risks that may occur during human life, estimate the probability of these risks and gain the knowledge and skills to create safety programs to mitigate the financial impact of these events. |
