Goals | "New Approaches in Physical Education Teaching" course aims to introduce innovative and modern teaching methods in the field of physical education and sports and to develop effective teaching strategies for different age groups and needs of prospective teachers. The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to enrich their teaching processes by introducing contemporary approaches such as the use of technology in physical education teaching, game-based learning, collaborative learning and differentiated instruction. |
Course Content | Basic Concepts and Current Approaches in Physical Education Teaching, Traditional and Alternative Assessment and Evaluation Methods, Inclusive Physical Education and Diversity Management constitute the general content of this course. |
Learning Outcomes |
- The student will be able to comprehend contemporary education methods by defining the differences between traditional and innovative approaches used in physical education and sport teaching. - By supporting social and emotional learning skills in physical education classes, students will be able to contribute to the acquisition of characteristics such as empathy, self-control and emotional awareness. - Students will gain the ability to manage diversity and ensure equal participation for all by organising inclusive physical education activities for students from different cultures and students with special needs. - Students will be able to develop self-directed learning activities that will provide students with skills such as setting their own goals, self-evaluation and taking responsibility. - Students will be able to develop students' creative thinking skills by designing drama, games and activities that support creativity. |
