Goals The aim of this course is to explain the historical development process of contemporary physical education thought.
Course Content The use of physical education in the general education of human beings and its appearance in ancient education systems; The understanding of physical education in the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods; 18th-19th century physical education movements; Industrial age and the birth of modern sport; Modern Olympic Games and philosophy; The appearance of contemporary physical education and sport movements in Turkey; The development of Turkish physical education thought; Olympic movement and Olympism in Turkey.
