Goals | It is aimed to provide students with the basic concepts of recreation and tourism design techniques in small-scale areas and to examine the interaction between recreation and tourism in man-made environments that include social life spaces, to reveal the effects of recreation and tourism in urban areas and outskirts of cities, and to provide outdoor recreation and tourism activities in the design and development of urban furniture in man-made environments that include archaeological, historical and cultural features. |
Course Content | In this course, students will learn design techniques in small-scale recreation and tourism areas, understand the effects of these areas on human-made environments, and gain competence in the design of outdoor furniture in areas with cultural values. |
Learning Outcomes |
- They will learn the basic concepts related to recreation and tourism standards and techniques. - Students will learn new methods and strategies in applications in urban and rural recreation and tourism areas. - Students will learn the applicable standards and norms in tourism and recreation areas. - Students will use recreation and tourism standards in their project work within the scope of the course. - Students will learn how to use the equipment required by the touristic and recreational areas of Turkey's major cities, on a human scale and in harmony with the environment. |
