Goals | In this course, the relationship between cinema and architecture will be discussed in historical, psychological, sociological and technological contexts; sociological and ideological analysis of the city and the metaphorical use of architecture in cinema will be examined, focusing on the transformation of space into extension in cinema. |
Course Content | In the use of space, the concepts of frame, deframe, counter-space and the narrative possibilities they offer will be covered. Cinematographic analysis of the use of space in the plot and character representations of the film will be made. The creation and use of decor-interior spaces and environmental contexts used in cinema, researching costume, make-up, aesthetics, technology, production information and making applications are within the scope of the course. |
