Goals The Research Design I course aims to enable students to develop basic knowledge and attitudes about scientific research in their field, and to put theoretical knowledge into practice by ensuring that students research and apply qualitative data collection techniques.
Course Content This course covers the differences between qualitative research techniques, qualitative research techniques such as semiotics, qualitative content analysis, discourse analysis, ethnographic studies, in-depth interviews, focus groups, oral history studies, and the comparison of the possibilities of quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
Learning Outcomes - Know the principles required to prepare a scientific report. Can prepare a scientific research project outline. Knows what to research and what data to have first. Can access data from research questions. Gains analytical and practical skills to write an academic article. Writes an academic article.
- Learns how to prepare a research proposal. Learns how to write a research. Can use the necessary format when writing an academic article. Calculates how to use his time during research and writing. Uses academic techniques related to his field well.
- Can evaluate the structure of research prepared based on different methods. Makes inferences regarding ethical responsibility in research. Can design a research in accordance with ethical principles. Analyzes national and international communication research.
