Goals To provide basic information and learning to prepare and present systematic publication reports on scientific research, to provide information about the publication process and scientific ethics.
Course Content 1. Knows the purpose, scope and content characteristics of preparing different types of scientific publications such as articles, reports and books. 2. Can divide his/her scientific study into main sections and subsections and prepare it for publication. 3. Has the knowledge and software skills to prepare the necessary tables, graphics etc. in a scientific publication. 4. Knows the approach to selecting and showing relevant references for scientific publications, can use up-to-date software to create a bibliography. 5. Knows and applies the ethical rules to be considered in preparing scientific publications. 6. Knows the publication submission, response to referees, revision, resubmission and printing processes from the preparation of scientific publications to their publication and acts in accordance with these processes. 7. Can prepare scientific studies such as congresses, symposiums etc. in up-to-date presentation formats and present them fluently.
Learning Outcomes - Accesses knowledge using scientific research methods such as evaluating, interpreting and applying knowledge, along with expanding and deepening knowledge in the same or a different field, which is built on undergraduate degree qualifications.
- Develops knowledge using scientific methods using limited or incomplete data in the field of Science and uses it with scientific, social and ethical responsibility.
- Independently constructs a problem in the field of Science, develops a solution method, solves it, evaluates the results and applies it when necessary.
- Communicates current developments and own studies in the field of Science to groups in and outside the field in a systematic way, in writing, verbally and visually.
- Develops new strategic approaches and takes responsibility to produce solutions in unforeseen and complex situations encountered in applications in the field of Science.
- Develops strategies, policies and implementation plans on issues related to the field of Science and evaluates the results obtained within the framework of quality processes.
- Have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in at least one foreign language.
- Uses and develops information and communication technologies along with the computer software and hardware knowledge required by the field of Science.
- Teaches and supervises scientific, social and ethical values ​​by observing them in the stages of collecting, interpreting and announcing data related to the field of Science.
