Goals The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of family counseling. Within the scope of the course, students will recognize the basic concepts of family counseling issues.
Course Content Students will have knowledge about the basic criteria of mate selection, the structure and dimensions of family and marital relationships, and the distinctive aspects of healthy and unhealthy relationships. A student taking this course will have the ability to analyze and evaluate the marital relationship of a couple. In addition, students will gain knowledge about the history of family counseling, development processes, theories and approaches in family counseling, philosophy of approaches, therapy process, principles and techniques.
