Goals The aim of this course is to define the conceptual framework of linguistic meaning and to examine the methods and techniques used in semantics and meaning analysis. Doctoral students will learn various theoretical approaches in meaning analysis and interpretation processes, gaining advanced skills in text analysis and language interpretation.
Course Content This course includes examining comprehension and language skills, reviewing certain listening and reading method techniques (listening by taking notes, listening with empathy, free reading, etc.) and discussing the effectiveness of these methods and techniques.
Learning Outcomes - The student recognizes various methods and techniques used in analyzing linguistic meaning and applies these techniques in analytical processes.
- The student interprets meaning in text and discourse analysis by considering context and pragmatic meaning.
- The student critically evaluates theoretical approaches in meaning analysis and applies them in their own research.
