Goals The main purpose of this course is to eliminate the lack of knowledge of health professionals about measuring quality.
Course Content Health services triangle, individual health providers, corporate health providers, reimbursement institutions, fee-for-service payment technique, global budget, value-based purchasing, virtue-based purchasing, institutions and organizations that foster consumption ideology,
Learning Outcomes - Define the concept of quality in health services: Students can explain the fundamental concepts related to quality in health services, the factors affecting quality, and various quality management approaches.
- Analyze quality improvement models: Students can identify different quality improvement models used in health services (e.g., PDCA cycle, Lean, Six Sigma) and assess the implementation processes and success criteria of these models.
- Understand and apply accreditation processes: Students learn about national and international accreditation systems (e.g., JCI, Healthcare Quality Standards) and their impact on healthcare institutions, gaining practical experience through simulations or case studies.
- Understand legal and ethical regulations related to patient safety and quality standards: Students are aware of the legal regulations, ethical principles, and guidelines related to patient safety and quality management and can integrate these regulations into health services.
- Explain the importance of leadership and teamwork in quality improvement and accreditation processes: Students understand the importance of leadership, teamwork, communication, and change management skills in quality improvement and accreditation processes, applying these skills to healthcare settings.
