Goals To inform students about the complex problems associated with the management of international business, to provide comprehensive information about related strategic theories and concepts, to develop the ability to apply theory to enrich the effectiveness of international management, to provide accurate information about the principles, basic strategies and theories of international management and to critically examine this information.
Course Content International business process and overall perspective, international business functions and strategies, international trade theory, globalization, the competitive advantage of nations, economic blocs, international culture.
Learning Outcomes - Ability to analyze problems related to international business and produce solutions. Ability to identify and analyze opportunities and threats that businesses may encounter in the global market.
- Ability to research and analyze major international events affecting International Business activities
- Ability to apply the concepts and theories related to the basic functions of the business in the international arena
- Gaining communication skills needed around today's global business
- Ability to research and analyze primary and secondary data on the international business environment
- The ability to be aware of the cultural dimensions of the international business environment and to explain the effects of culture on international businesses
