Goals The aim of this course is to raise awareness and sensitivity towards significant issues currently occurring and that may occur in the world.
Course Content Today's global issues include environmental problems, disasters, population issues, migration, and wars.
Learning Outcomes - Understands climate-related issues
- Understands the issues related to population growth
- Understands issues related to improper land use, disasters, and environmental problems (such as pollution, erosion, deforestation, etc.).
- Understands issues related to pandemics, hunger, famine, poverty, nutrition, and global economic problems.
- Understands issues related to racism, ethnic discrimination, religion and sectarianism, terrorism, migration and the refugee crisis, wars, and genocides.
- Understands the conflict zones and issues around the world.
- Understands issues related to justice and human rights violations, women's rights, and violence.
- Understands issues related to income distribution, education, and equal opportunities.
- Understands issues related to access to energy, renewable energy, and environmentally friendly energy sources.
- Understands media issues.
