Goals
|
This course aims to implement STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education at the elementary and middle school levels. It covers fundamental concepts of STEM, interdisciplinary connections, activity design, and assessment processes. The course focuses on enabling teachers to design and implement STEM activities and to create student-centered learning environments.

Course Content

This graduate-level course aims to provide teachers with a theoretical foundation in STEM education, interdisciplinary integration models, and advanced instructional approaches. Key topics include problem- and project-based learning in STEM, the engineering design process, and the development of 21st-century skills. The course also emphasizes the integration of educational technologies, activity design, and assessment methods in STEM. Teachers will design and implement interdisciplinary, community-based STEM projects, experiencing and evaluating innovative methods in education.
