Goals To provide the basic background on the mechanics of physics.
Course Content Physics and Measurements, Vectors, Motion in One Dimension, Motion in Two Dimensions, The Laws of Motion, Circular Motion and Other Applications of Newton's Laws, Work and Kinetic Energy, Potential Energy and Conservation of Mechanical Energy, Linear Momentum and Collisions, Rotation of a Rigid Object About a Fixed Axis.
Learning Outcomes - Students will be able to identify basic concepts about mechanics and apply the basic concepts to physics problems.
