Goals To give information about the formation and sources of Old Oghuz Turkish. To teach mixed multilingualism on mixed language text samples..
Course Content 1. Discussing the formation of Old Oghuz Turkish and gaining the ability to perceive the relations between the acquired knowledge and concepts. 2. It gives the ability to evaluate the formation stages of Old Oghuz Turkish, to reach its sources, to benefit from the sources within the framework of scientific criteria. 3. It gives the ability to draw the boundaries in the formation stages of Old Oghuz Turkish, to compose and analyze in the world of knowledge and thought, to criticize and to interpret. 4. It gives the ability to recognize scientific methods related to the examination of mixed multilingualism in Old Oghuz Turkish, to make compilation studies and to examine them. 5. Gains the knowledge and equipment skills to internalize the information about the grammatical features of Old Oghuz Turkish, to deepen it and to do postgraduate studies. 6. It gives the ability to recognize Old Oghuz Turkish and to look holistically by making comparative studies and analyzes with the sounds, shapes and sentences of the Turkish World. 7. It gives the ability to introduce the texts of Old Oghuz Turkish, to bring cultural elements to the national and universal with the acquired knowledge, to prepare them for new and current productions.
Learning Outcomes - Evaluate the texts of Turkish Language and Literature from the beginning to the present in terms of literary and philological. Finds the opportunity to compare with western literature texts
- By examining the Turkish language in terms of phonetics, morphology, syntax and semantics; Reaches the ability to use Turkish correctly, beautifully and clearly.
- Gains information about the prosody, rhyme and verse forms of Old Turkish Literature. Knows the periods of this literature, the poets and the works of these poets. He tries to read and understand the works in Arabic letters.
- Identify the main features of the periods in the history of New Turkish Literature, reveal the new forms and themes that played a role in the period, the new literary language and imagism, and the new author-text-reader relations; compares it with the old one and determines its effects on the future.
- Recognizes the classical and modern literary movements from the past to the present and evaluates the effects of these movements on the forms of expression.
- Develops the ability to perceive, criticize, think and reason about how to analyze a text.
- Gains knowledge and access to texts related to narrative genres in Turkish Folk Literature.
- Have the basic knowledge and skills of being able to do research and work at an academic level in the field of Turkish Language and Literature.
- Have the skills of creating, organizing, transmitting, storing, presenting and sharing information in the field of Turkish language and literature by using information and internet technologies.
- Knows the alphabets in which historical and contemporary Turkish dialects are written, can make linguistics and grammar studies by transferring the texts written in these alphabets to transcription and Turkey Turkish written language.
- Can use the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Turkish language and literature in studies carried out jointly with other fields of social sciences.
- Gains the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning.
