Goals To be able to comprehend the morphological structure of Turkish Language in the historical process.
Course Content 1. Knows morphological change and definition, subject and importance of morphological change. 2. Can detect the events that cause morphological changes. 3. Demonstrate and evaluate morphological changes in historical texts. 4. Determine the types of morphological changes. 5. Classifies the affixes according to their features. 6. Evaluates morphological changes according to historical periods. 7. Can examine morphological changes by comparison
Learning Outcomes - Evaluate the texts of Turkish Language and Literature from the beginning to the present in terms of literary and philological. Finds the opportunity to compare with western literature texts.
- By examining the Turkish language in terms of phonetics, morphology, syntax and semantics; Reaches the ability to use Turkish correctly, beautifully and clearly.
- Gains information about the prosody, rhyme and verse forms of Old Turkish Literature. Knows the periods of this literature, the poets and the works of these poets. He tries to read and understand the works in Arabic letters.
- Identify the main features of the periods in the history of New Turkish Literature, reveal the new forms and themes that played a role in the period, the new literary language and imagism, and the new author-text-reader relations; compares it with the old one and determines its effects on the future.
- Recognizes the classical and modern literary movements from the past to the present and evaluates the effects of these movements on the forms of expression.
- Develops the ability to perceive, criticize, think and reason about how to analyze a text.
- Gains knowledge and access to texts related to narrative genres in Turkish Folk Literature.
- Have the basic knowledge and skills of being able to do research and work at an academic level in the field of Turkish Language and Literature.
- Have the skills of creating, organizing, transmitting, storing, presenting and sharing information in the field of Turkish language and literature by using information and internet technologies.
- Knows the alphabets in which historical and contemporary Turkish dialects are written, can make linguistics and grammar studies by transferring the texts written in these alphabets to transcription and Turkey Turkish written language.
- Gains the confidence to express critical thoughts constructively.
- Can use the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Turkish language and literature in studies carried out jointly with other fields of social sciences.
