Goals To be able to examine the historical and living Kipchak Chagatai dialects.
Course Content 1) It gives information about Northeastern Turkish. 2) It gives information about Chagatai Turkish. 3) It gives information about the living Northern Turkic dialects. 4) It gives information about the Northwest and Northeast Turkish dialects. 5) The text in Kipchak, Chagatai and Kazakh can be read. 6) It gives information about Uzbek and Uyghur dialects. 7) Reads the text of Khwarezm Turkish.
Learning Outcomes - Comprehends the transition from Old Turkish to Middle Turkish.
- Learns the formation of Northeastern (Khorezm) Turkish
- Recognizes Kipchak Turkish.
- Knows the language features of Chagatai Turkish.
- Can classify the living Northern Turkish Dialects.
- Examines the Northwest (Tatar-Kazakh-Kirgiz) Turkish.
- Recognizes the Northeastern (Tuva-Hakas-Altay) Turkish.
- Examines Eastern (Uzbek-Uyghur) Turkish.
- Analyzes the Khwarezm Turkish text.

- Can make a grammatical comparison between Kazakh and Uzbek
