Goals | The aim of this course is to examine the scientific research process (problem identification, data collection, data analysis and interpretation of results), to review major scientific research methods (experimental method, description method, etc.) and to find research questions necessary for students to conduct research on a particular subject. To ensure that students learn the techniques of hypothesizing, conceptualization, measurement, data collection, data analysis, data evaluation/interpretation and report writing. |
Course Content | In this course, the concept of ethics and ethical theories, research ethics and publication ethics, and unethical behaviors will be emphasized. The aim is to raise knowledge and awareness about the most common research and publication ethics violations and the methods to prevent them, and the methods to be followed in case of detection of a violation. |
