Goals To give basic information about law and communication law
Course Content The basic concepts of communication law, freedom of communication in Turkish law and examination of legal regulations related to media institutions, organization arrangements and analysis of sample applications are the content of the course.
Learning Outcomes - Evaluates the field of communication within the framework of fundamental rights and freedoms regime.
- Defines the constitutional rights and freedoms of the subjects of communication.
- Distinguish development stages of communication freedom in Turkey
- Establishes the relationship between freedom of communication and the rights and freedoms of obtaining, disseminating and criticizing information
- Explain the elements and principles of the press regime
- Explain the elements and principles of radio and television regime.
- Recognizes the basic concepts of intellectual rights, explains the elements and principles of intellectual property protection regime
- Distinguish the types of works, evaluate the scope of protected rights.
