Goals 1. To provide a comprehensive background about measurement techniques that can be encountered in the field of engineering, 2. To gain the ability to use all measuring instruments and systems in the board, 3. To make necessary scientific sub-structure and to teach the usage of evaluation
Course Content
Learning Outcomes - Students will learn the basics of measurement and the techniques to apply to meet the measurement needs that may be encountered in machine manufacture and use.
- Students will be able to choose the appropriate device, system or method for the correct solution in the metering technique problems that may be encountered.
- Students will learn to use the relevant measuring device or system
- Students will learn the working principle of the relevant measuring instrument or system.
- Students will be able to recognize and apply the methods of evaluation of the obtained measurement data.
- Students will understand the concepts of metrology, calibration, accuracy, uncertainty, precision, reproducibility and traceability.
- Students will be familiar with the metrology standards, where they will be reached and where they will be used.
