Goals The aim of this course is to develop ethical awareness, critical thinking and responsible decision-making abilities in educators or student teachers. This course provides a solid foundation in moral philosophy and ethical theories and also addresses specific ethical challenges educators may face in their careers.
Course Content Basic concepts and theories regarding morality and ethics; ethical principles, ethical rules, business and professional ethics/ethics; The teaching profession with its social, cultural, moral and ethical aspects; right to education and learning ethical principles in the process of education, training, learning and evaluation; ethical principles in relations with educational stakeholders (employers/administrators, colleagues, parents, professional organizations and society); moral/ethical responsibilities of education/school administrators, parents and students; business and profession unethical behavior in his life; Ethical regulations regarding public administration, education and teachers in Turkey; unethical behavior in school and education, ethical dilemmas, problems and solutions; moral/ethics education and ethics committees at school; school principal and teacher as a moral/ethical leader.
