Goals To search the answers for the questions of what moral behavior is, what good and bad are and how I live, to explain ethical theories and to evaluate the short history of ethics in the history of philosophy
Course Content Main Ethical Theories; Ethics of Egocentrism, Determinist Ethics, İntuitionism and Moral Sense, Ethics of Enlightenment, Kant’s Ethics, Utilitarianism, Ethical views of Schopenhauer, Nietzsche and Marx, Existentialist Ethics, Ethical views of Phenomenology.
Learning Outcomes - To learn and understand the branch of ethics of the dicipline of philosophy
- To learn main problems of ethics
- To learn main ethical theories
- To understand and compare main ethical theories and their contemporary interpretations
- To discuss current ethical problems
