Goals To introduce the basic problems of philosophy with a critical view.
Course Content The problem of the meaning of life, the source of our knowledge, the problem of the existence of the external world. The whatness of space and time. The problem of free will. Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Heidegger etc.
Learning Outcomes - To understand how and why philosophy came to existence.
- To grasp the problems with which philosophy is concerned.
- To interpretate in a critical manner the answers which are given to the question concerning the meaning of being.
- To evaluate the arguments concerning the possibility, the source and the objectivity of our knowledge
- To compare the arguments which are raised for and against the being of God.
- To compare the answers which are given to the question regarding the meaning of life.
