Goals This course aims to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills of primary candidate teachers in about visual arts. The course also aims to help candidate teachers to develop skills and visual art perceptions through preparing picture, graphic and textile designs suitable to primary Arts curriculum.
Course Content Recognizing visual arts functions from the aspect of cognitive and emotional views, determining student?s development levels according to graphical development stages, reading children?s pictures, application of picture, graphical design, architectural design and traditional design appropriate to the curriculum, drawing picture and differentiation of visual, auditory, tactile perception by drawing
Learning Outcomes - comprehend the contributions of visual arts on children's cognitive and emotional development
- differentiate the sub branches that constitute visual arts
- get to know aims and objectives and contents of primary Visual Arts curriculum.
- comprehend appropriate teaching methods and techniques for teaching visual arts according to primary curriculum
- design activities for learning through arts and puts into practice
