Goals The aim of this study is to examine prenatal, infancy, early childhood, middle and late childhood periods within the scope of related theories from a life-long development perspective. In this context, prenatal development, infancy, early childhood, middle and late childhood periods and development according to theories will be examined.
Course Content Life and Education from the Perspective of Developmental Psychology: The right to education, the needs of human beings and the right to education, the necessity and importance of education for development. Life-long perspective and understanding of development, the nature of development, basic concepts and developmental periods, developmental principles-laws, development theories.
Learning Outcomes - Explains the historical process of the field of developmental psychology; defines the most important processes, periods and topics in human development, explains the basic theories and research methods;
- Defines normal development in different developmental stages; defines individuals with different types of disabilities and strategies to help individuals with possible problems;

1. Week Life and Education from the Perspective of Developmental Psychology: The right to education, the needs of the human and the child, the right to education, the necessity and importance of education for development
2. Week Research methods in developmental psychology: Purpose of scientific study, scientific method, methods and objectives of developmental psychology
3. Week Life-long perspective and understanding of development, nature of development, basic concepts and developmental periods, development principles-laws, development theories
4. Week Beginning of Life and prenatal development; physical and psycho-motor development in infancy and infancy
5. Week Introduction to cognitive development and examination of concepts (cognition, cognitive development, organization, schema, cognitive structure, adaptation, accommodation, assimilation, balance-unbalance, experience)
