Goals The aim of the course is to giving application-oriented design criteria of a steel framework system..
Course Content Steel structure, material, production methods and properties, strengths and weaknesses of steel structure, connection elements, steel bar cross sections, columns, joints, column feet and foundation. Solid and hollow body beams, forming plane trusses, arranging supports and nodal points, principles of forming steel frames, arrangement of rigidity connections, flooring and roofs used in steel structure, connecting floors to the system, providing horizontal and vertical stability, facade elements, connecting facade elements to the system steel project design.
Learning Outcomes - To have information about the history and development of steel structures
- Having knowledge about the application-oriented design criteria of a steel framework system
- Learning the steel structure, material, production methods and properties
- To have knowledge about the superior and weak aspects of the steel structure
- To gain an ability to design steel of projects

5. Week Steel beam-column connections.
6. Week Arragement of steel framed structures and frame members on load carriying system
7. Week Arragement of braced steel framed structures and frame members on load carriying system
8. Week MIDTERM EXAMINATION
9. Week Beam to Beam connections.
10. Week Flooring and roof systems and system combinations
11. Week Vertical and horizontal stability of the load carrying system.
12. Week Facade coating system and their combination with the system.
