Goals It aims to establish the interaction of the human factor with spaces of various types and scales through the basics of space design such as classical and complex geometries, anthropometry, ergonomics, human movements, functional and spatial thresholds, spatial arrangements and transformations, indoor and outdoor relations. It aims to provide cognition and awareness on Data Organization, Intellectual Organization and Spatial Organization.
Course Content Arrangement of forms and spaces, perception and expression of their visual features, interdependence and relationships; space descriptive elements and threshold concept; building and city scale horizontal and vertical circulation axes, staircase and ramp design; Understanding of land data and user's needs
Learning Outcomes - Ability to develop creativity, perception and sensitivity about indoor and outdoor spaces
- Human behaviours; To have basic knowledge about physical environment and human interaction. Critical Thinking Skill;
- Establishing the relationship of design with problems, being aware of what we do in design, for what and for whom, abstraction
- Graphic Expression Skills; To be able to express each stage of the programming and design process formally with various techniques using hand drawings and computer technologies to make appropriate presentations.
- To be able to obtain, evaluate, record and apply information about architectural processes.
- To be able to apply basic architectural principles in building, interior and residential design processes.
- Awareness of the relationship between form and function, depending on conceptual design thinking,
- Sketching aptitude, associating drawing and presentation techniques with real design problems
