Goals The main aim of the course is to develop the students' knowledge of architectural drawing and to gain mental skills and hand skills to improve writing, drawing, modeling, freehand sketch and presentation communication techniques.
Course Content • Introducing the necessary materials, tools and techniques for technical and freehand drawings and models through theoretical lessons, workshop practices, homework and trips. • Drawing, repeating, dividing, enlarging, reducing and writing techniques from triangle to hyperbola, using T-ruler, ruler, set square, compass, protractor and curve templates. • Creation of solid and empty models of three-dimensional geometric shapes (ideal) and mixed objects Vertical (orthographic) projections: plan, section and views • Oblique projections: military plan, cavalier view Perspectives with vanishing points • Presentation techniques: introduction of black and white and color presentation methods using colored dry, spirit pens and various tone values and texture techniques
Learning Outcomes - 1. The ability to create an appearance for three dimensional objects.
- 2. The ability to graphically describe architectural and interior design projects.
- 3. An ability to understand different scales and drawing techniques.
- 4. Ability to develop different drawing techniques with different drawing materials (pen, ink, rapido).
- 5. Ability to develop different presentation techniques for architectural presentations.
