Goals The Basic Principles and Practices in Nursing I course aims to learn nursing care by analyzing the principles and concepts for solving existing nursing problems in line with the physiological and psychological needs of an adult patient while practicing in the field of nursing.
Course Content -Introduction, introduction of the course, explanation of the program, Basic Concepts: Life cycle, ensuring health and well-being, family and community health, cultural difference, patient education, self-concept, stress, anxiety, adaptation and change, spirituality, loss and death, Basic Physiological Needs: Vital signs, factors affecting vital signs, measurement of vital signs, nursing process and vital signs, Basic Physiological Needs: Vital Signs (Continued), Basic Physiological Needs: Purpose of physical evaluation, preparation for physical evaluation, taking anamnesis, evaluation of systems, Basic Physiological Needs: Diagnostic tests, laboratory findings, radiological examinations, ultrasound, non-nuclear scanning tests, radioactive examinations, MRI, endoscopy, aspiration and biopsy, Basic Physiological Needs: Establishing a patient safety culture, infection control principles, hygiene, diagnosis, nursing process, Basic Physiological Needs: Drug administration standards and legal policy Drug administration, factors affecting drug administration, professional roles in drug management, Basic Physiological Needs: Oxygenation physiology, factors affecting oxygenation, fluid-electrolyte: Acid-base balance, factors affecting balance, reflection on nursing process, Basic Physiological Needs: Nutritional physiology, nutrients, adequate nutrition, factors affecting nutrition, excretion: Excretory physiology, factors affecting excretion, excretory practices, Basic Physiological Needs: Pain, sleep and rest, movement: Body mechanics, movement physiology, exercise, factors affecting movement, physiological effects of movement and immobility, Basic Physiological Needs: Skin integrity and wound care, Basic Physiological Needs: Physiology of sense, perception and cognition, influencing factors
