Goals The historical development of the Turkish education system will be comprehended and the development of the education system in the Republic period will be taught thematically.
Course Content The importance of the History of Education, the first education movements in the Turks, (Huns, Göktürks, Uyghurs), and education in the first Muslim Turkish States, Education in the Seljuks, Education in the Ottomans, Education system in the Republic of Turkey.
Learning Outcomes - Learns the developmental stages of Turkish education history

- Compares the present education system with the past education systems.
- Knows important educational reforms in Turkish education history
