Goals The aim of this course is to contribute to the students to understand the relations between education and society.
Course Content This course deals with the education as a social system and appraises the functions of eduation in this context.
Learning Outcomes - explains the main concepts related to the sociology of education
- discuss the implications of the social effects of education,
- discuss the implications of the social effects of education,
- interpretes the relations between education and social classes and/or social mobility,
- explains the concept of equality of opportunity in education,
- gives examples to the educational issues of the developed and developing countries,
- interpretes the effects of education upon the society.
