Goals | The aim of the course is to provide students with information about the historical development of psychology and its main schools. |
Course Content | In this course, within the scope of the history of psychology, students will be informed about the philosophical and physiological effects on psychology, structuralism, functionalism, behaviorism, psychoanalysis and post-modern approaches. |
Learning Outcomes |
- Understands the philosophical foundations of psychology. - To have knowledge and comments about the currents that form the basis of psychology. - Positioning philosophical currents according to time and context, being able to connect different currents, understand the historical development of philosophy and psychology. - Understands the formation and development processes of philosophically based movements (behaviorism, psychoanalysis, humanism, etc.) commonly used in psychology. - Understands the current positions of currents commonly used in psychology and their effects on psychology and clinical studies. |
