Goals It is aimed to teach chick production technique in the hatchery, which is a production section of the poultry sector.
Course Content Hatchery production sites and their capacities Construction and technical features of the hatchery Parts of the hatchery Hatchery equipment Hatchery management Determining the need for hatching eggs, Ventilation, cooling, humidity in hatcheries, hatching egg quality, hatchery recording system Breeder flock factors Transport of hatching eggs and selection of hatching eggs Preparation of hatching eggs and their course in hatching Factors affecting hatching results and embrionic deaths Abnormalities encountered in the incubation period and hatchery disinfection
Learning Outcomes - Ability to recognize the hatchery as a separate unit in the poultry business
- Ability to design the parts of the new incubation unit
- To be able to distinguish between a quality healthy chick and an unhealthy chick
- To distinguish gender from wing and color in ovarian chicks
- To be able to distinguish quality breeding eggs
