Goals To give general information about pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs and their use in clinic.
Course Content Drug sources, structural features, biotransformation of drugs, drug interaction, undesirable toxic effect, drug dosage and drug administration forms, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drugs affecting the nervous system, endocrine system pharmacology, respiration, digestive and cardiovascular system drugs, chemotherapeutics, animal drug residues in foods of origin, licensing, distribution, sale and control of drugs, introduction to toxicology and general toxicology, herbal and mineral substances, mycotoxins and doping, pesticides, environmental toxicology.
Learning Outcomes - Learns the basic concepts and terminology of pharmacology
- Learns the sources and general properties of drugs
- Gains knowledge of absorption of drugs, distribution in the body, metabolism and extraction
- Gains knowledge of the concept of dosage, the route of administration and routes of drugs
- Learns the mechanism of action of drugs
- Learn the interactions of drugs with their adverse effects and toxic effects
- Gets information about the definition and properties of poison, types of poisoning and learns the changes in poisons in the body
- Investigate and investigate poisoning, take analysis samples and send them to the laboratory
- Information about diagnosis and general treatment methods
- Learns the properties of pesticides, causes of poisoning, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment
- Learns the properties of plant and animal poisons, poisoning causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment
