Goals According to research and studies, it is aimed to comprehend chemical events related to living cells in biochemistry field course, which is very important especially in preventive medicine and nutrition.
Course Content Introduction of the course, the importance of biochemistry, learning the basic terms, solutions and preparation techniques, biochemically important biophysical events, biochemically important organic reactions, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids, enzymes, hormones and vitamins, introduction of mineral substances.
Learning Outcomes - Understanding the importance of biochemistry in living life
- To learn basic chemistry terms before biochemistry course
- Having information about carbohydrate biochemistry, digestion and metabolism of carbohydrates
- Learning lipid biochemistry, lipids digestion and metabolism
- To have knowledge about protein biochemistry, protein digestion and metabolism
- Hormone biochemistry Vitamins and coenzymes evaluation of biochemical test results
- To establish the connection between biochemistry and life sciences
