Goals To gain the ability of apply ing landscape planning and landscape design principles for different types of tourism (coastal tourism, ecotourism, rural tourism, yacht tourism, ski tourism etc.) in all areas with different characteristics (urban area, rural, area coastal area, forest etc.)
Course Content Standards and spatial characteristics for different types of tourism
Learning Outcomes - Reasoning, knowledge: • Concept of tourism and definition of tourist, characteristics of tourists, positive and negative environmental effects of tourism activities, tourism types, tourism planning and design principles
- Sensation, attitude(affective): • Recognizing tourism stakeholders • Define the spatial features required by touristic activities
- Perform, skill (psychomotor): Students who are able to complete this course successfully; • To be able to apply landscape planning and landscape design principles in tourism areas. • To be able to work on tourism scales at different scales. • To be able to learn the standards and spatial features for different types of tourism. • To be able to comprehend the needs and expectations for tourism planning and design in the world and Turkey.
