Goals The main objective of the course is to provide a theoretical foundation for the propagation (seed, vegetative and tissue culture) and basic nursery techniques of ornamental plants with practical applications
Course Content The fundamental concepts and terms of plant propagation, acquire the theoretical foundation of the main propagation techniques (generative, vegetative, and tissue culture) of ornamental plants, describe principles and application of the techniques, work in nurseries, greenhouses and selected laboratory exercises
Learning Outcomes - Should learn the fundamental concepts and terms of plant propagation
- Acquire the theoretical foundation of the main propagation techniques (generative, vegetative, and tissue culture) of ornamental plants
- Describe principles and application of the techniques
- Employ the theoretical foundation they gained to solve the problems they will encounter related to the subject area
- Work in nurseries, greenhouses and selected laboratory exercises related to the subject area
- Communicate knowledge, issues and solutions within the subject area
- Further improve themselves with internal educational tools
- Work in all institutions or corporations focusing in ornamental plant propagation, carry out, plan and oversee propagation projects
