Goals The main objective of the course is to provide a theoretical foundation for the landscape Management • The importance of landscape management in the world and in our country • To explain the basic concepts of landscape management, • Assessment of landscape management studies and the pressure on landscape • Transfer of issues related to landscape management in our country • Transfer of the major theoretical approaches to landscape management, • Investigation of Landscape Management studies within the scope of European Landscape Convention • It is aimed to give the example of the national and international studies.
Course Content Definition, importance, purpose, basic objectives, basic concepts, principles, theoretical approaches, international and national examples of landscape management concept, preparation stages of landscape management projects, Council of Europe landscape management guide, preparation of a landscape management project in a sample area
Learning Outcomes - Reasoning, knowledge: • Landscape Management, European Landscape Convention, Protection of landscapes, Landscape quality
- Sensation, attitude(affective): • Management of landscapes with a participatory approach • Landscape analysis, planning and management models in accordance with the natural and cultural characteristics of the area • To be able to analyze the historical development of landscapes and the cultural values attributed to them, and to develop managerial approaches.
- • Perform, skill (psychomotor): • Defines the concept, quality, historical development and functions of landscape management. • Creates control and monitoring processes in landscape management. • Analyzes and applies rural landscape planning methods and approaches in landscape management. • Defines the necessity and importance of management and organization in landscape architecture, and the information that will be useful in practice in planning and management of landscape activities.
