Goals It enables the student to make inventory, analysis and evaluations of the given area in terms of social, environmental and spatial aspects based on the landscape planning theories and methods, to offer suggestions for developing alternative solutions in the landscape, and to decide on the most suitable alternative by examining the upper-scale plan decisions and legal administrative structure. .
Course Content landscape planning, inventory, analysis and synthesis stages
Learning Outcomes - To be able to explain different landscape planning theories and applications of landscape planning,
- Integrating ecosystem services with landscape planning approaches
- Ability to analyze open and green space systems for cities and bring different scenarios
- • To be able to develop suggestions and alternatives in the context of the future shape of the landscape and to evaluate these suggestions in the context of regional and national policies, spatial plans and environmental impacts.
- To be able to associate projects such as large-scale industrial projects, transportation projects, coastal protection projects, energy projects, mining projects, solid waste projects with landscape planning
- • Being able to apply different landscape planning methods to the field with participatory approaches
- To be able to take part in different planning studies with a landscape architecture perspective, to make decisions in analysis-synthesis and planning processes, to use initiative and to work in teams
- Landscape suitability analysis and Landscape sensitivity analysis, Ability to develop and apply alternative solutions for changing the landscape
- Ability to prepare landscape plan and notes in order to decide on the most suitable alternative among the alternatives and to be applied
- Editing the landscape management of the created landscape plan, preparing action plans
