Goals The aim of this course is to examine the development of a comparative field of political analysis since the beginning of a search for a model that can explain different political systems.
Course Content This course includes the comparison of democratic and autocratic regimes, the relationship between democracies and the level of economic development, the study of different forms of government.
Learning Outcomes - Participants will be able to identify and list research questions and variables at the center of comparative political analysis.
- Participants will be able to evaluate the contributions of the models and methods used in comparative political analysis to the field of political science.
- Participants will be able to discuss and interpret the findings of different models used to compare political systems.
- Participants will acquire the skills to examine and evaluate the methods used in comparative political analysis.
